Adding Curb Appeal in Multnomah Village

I was hired by a couple in Multnomah Village to improve the curb appeal of their home. A dated front porch and awkward entry need a refresh. By slightly enlarging the front porch and changing the stair pattern, the home now features a grander entrance with better flow. Changing the style of the railing and a new paint job, along with basalt stairs and a new retaining wall, updates the look of the home. I edited the existing plants and created a planting plan that adds texture and movement while adhering to a more refined palette. A more formal architectural slab path meets a new crushed gravel path along the side of the property for enhanced ease of use. An act as simple as limbing up the large spruce in front lightens up the home and creates a more inviting ambiance.

Limbing up a large spruce creates a more inviting look for the home. Adding a gravel path is both utilitarian and gives a sense of purpse to the side of the property.
